To be fair here and to clear up what this kid doesn't understand:
The pump supplies make up the bulk of the expense, not insulin, and that is a choice. It vastly improves quality of life to have CGM.
Deductible just started fresh, need to meet that. I just shelled out $1035 for pump supplies and will do a few more times before deductible is met. No copay after April.

Despite the commercials that is NOT because other coutries are socialist, Mexico is not, and I have personally crossed the border many times to buy stuff (as do hordes of other folks in SoCal), often the exact same stuff from exact same manufacturer, or a version from Europe etc, as enormous discounts. The favored nation pricing program can be implemented by CMS on it's own by regulations, which were written by CMS in response to GEOTUS executive order. Same folks are still at CMS, Biden's EO wiped out the implementation of the new regulations. Payback by Biden and the Dems for their favorite swamp creature lobbyists.
