I don't ignore polls you just need to take them with a pound of salt. Most respected pollsters will tell you the numbers don't matter, but the trends do. CNN could be polling Trump at 12% but if he goes to 30% next week that's interesting.

You can use it to compare to other information and if it lines up then you can accept it somewhat more.
