Yes and the taliban had literally nothing to do with that. The Taliban was created in the early 90s after the end of the Soviet-Afghan war and the end of operation cyclone. The Pakistani intel agency ISI created the group to further their own interest in the chaos of the civil war after the soviets pulled out. Do your homework, the CIA had nothing to do with them or Al-Qaeda for that matter.

No it isnt. Mujahideen is just a very general word. Its like saying "freedom fighters" or "Rebel guerillas" and thinking this means a specific group. The Taliban on the other hand is not a general term and is a very specific group. And islamic militia formed by the Pakistani ISI during the civil war in Afghanistan.

In either case, they were formed after the soviet-afghan war and had nothing to do with the CIA or Operation Cyclone. If you want a good book suggestion on this, read 'Ghost Wars'

Im correcting you on a topic you clearly know nothing about, but youre ego is getting in the way of you actually learning anything so youre just doubling down on your CIA shit and acting like an asshole.

Im objectively right and you are objectively wrong. The Taliban was formed AFTER the soviet Afghan War, the Taliban was formed by the Pakistani ISI (not the CIA) and operation cyclone didnt fund them since they werent even a group yet to be funded.

Actually study this stuff before buying into retarded theories.
