Not defending wind power but this is a once in probably 100 year weather condition in the southern US. The Texas electric grid is built for air conditioning with or without windmills. I bet many houses in TX have electric heat because its not used as often (Florida is this way. Nobody has gas heat) So in cold weather, those electric heat coils murder the power plants.
Nah were just entering a grand solar minimum as NASA has warned the last decade and the lobbying global warming groups spent millions of dollars paying off NASA to keep their mouths closed that the sun being in hibernation will lead to a miniature ice age. Like the Maunder Minimum of 1645 lasting to about 1715 being the most recent grand solar minimum. They just don't want you to hear about it cause it'll tarnish their green energy plot.
