If by offense you mean push out every neocon and democrat politician that keeps landing these laws at the people's doorstep then yeah. Republicans have been using the excuse that they don't want to push pro-gun bills because "it isn't the time" but Trump has exposed them for the uniparty gungrabbers they really are.
