I have heard of that strawman strategy before. Used for "women's" businesses in order to get contracts.
I talked to a guy who does something similar. Has some sort of construction biz but has a black woman as the owner.
That's pretty smart, and maybe racist?
As long as everyone's happy with that arrangement I'm inclined to view it as good business.
If people want to shop at a "black owned" business you may as well make sure it's yours they're shopping at haha.
