I was thinking about walking through a busy mall maskless while everyone around me had on a mask. I sympathize with those who truly believe their cloth mask works, but lose respect for those who know masks don’t work but put one on anyway. In my county it’s an ordinance, not law. Why put one on just to be like everyone else and avoid conflict? It is startling the great lengths people will go to blend in with the crowd, even be forced into a mask for years. Now I understand putting one on to keep a job if there’s no alternative or to go to a doctor, but if there’s a choice, take it. I went to private school where instead of conforming, everyone wanted to be an individual. I’ll admit I don’t like conflict and will sometimes avoid situations, but worrying what other people think is not going to stop me from standing on my convictions. I try to be bold and try new places without a mask to add the the business list in my community where we can go freely without a mask. I believe it’s wrong to force masks on others. It should be a personal choice left up to the individual. And I’m not going to conform just to make myself feel more comfortable in a crowd. Time to stand for freedom and take off your mask.

I second that.
Nobody like these stupid masks.
I never knew Americans were such conformists until now. It’s really disappointing. I live in Florida and the Governor make an EO for no fines. My Sheriff has stated publicly he refuses to enforce our commissioners mask mandate. Yet when I go out, nearly everyone around me complies without question. It’s so easy here to go mask free too. Most businesses don’t say a word to me.
It's tiring to be defending yourself all the time.
Yeah I just fought it out at the eye doctor office. He was cool but the staff was not.
