The point of that quote was to voice Pattons thoughts on de-nazification plans after the war and he said being a nazi was no different than being a democrat or a republican. The context you are presenting this in is completely wrong if you are trying to make the point that Patton thought Democrats were no different from nazis.

Im not a pro-nazi guy or hitler dindu nuffin revisionist if thats what youre getting at. I just know history and the context of the quote OP was talking about. People who lie or distort history in order to further a modern day political goal (despite the cause) just really REALLY annoy me.
