My wife and I were in Kroger and there was this old lady struggling to find some medical supply because of her vision and height so we helped her out. She was wearing a mask and gloves but my wife and I weren’t. She didn’t mention it, she was just extremely grateful that someone was helping her out and kept saying how wonderful it was that my wife and I were more than happy to take the time out of our day to help her out (especially since at that time the majority of the population was immediately assuming everyone was going to kill them and were treating random individuals like lepers). This was late spring of last year. We’ve seen her in there a few times since and she always says hello.
My coworker was undergoing chemo and during his treatment, he would use one of those delivery services. As he put it, he was the one who was at risk and you wouldn’t expect everyone else to put their lives on hold for him. Same with a guy I know who has HIV due to a tainted blood transfusion decades ago. He has an undetectable viral load nowadays but he took his own precautions during this virus, as opposed to making everyone else accommodate him.

After seeing how your employees, specifically the short female with gray hair in a beige hoodie, and male with long blonde hair, glasses, and a maroon long sleeve shirt, treated paying costumers for not wearing a mask, I can no longer in good conscience spend my money at your establishment. I cannot, and will not support a business that allows their employees to verbally, and physically assault people for something so insignificant. It was also very concerning to watch the manager on film not only stand side by side with said violent employees, but verbally defend them on video. Until the two employees, and manager in question are terminated, my local TJs, and any other ones I come across in my travels will no longer be in my shopping considerations. Pearl Harbor happened because we were already intervening in the Pacific. We armed Japan for years, then we changed sides and armed China, providing them with money, weapons, and aircraft. After seeing how your employees, specifically the short female with gray hair in a beige hoodie, and male with long blonde hair, glasses, and a maroon long sleeve shirt, treated paying costumers for not wearing a mask, I can no longer in good conscience spend my money at your establishment. I cannot, and will not support a business that allows their employees to verbally, and physically assault people for something so insignificant. It was also very concerning to watch the manager on film not only stand side by side with said violent employees, but verbally defend them on video. Until the two employees, and manager in question are terminated, my local TJs, and any other ones I come across in my travels will no longer be in my shopping considerations. There are too many other great places that want my business, and respect people like me who can’t wear masks like Rouses, and Winn Dixie instead of treating me like they want to exterminate me if given the chance.
Don't have them in my city. The prices you have to pay to not eat chemicals are outrageous, but in the end you save money with reduced healthcare costs.
They are Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord in Germany. The two brothers split the business into Aldi and Trader Joe's in the US. They are related and carry some similar products, but are separate companies. Aldi US is targeting the low price grocery market, but their Specially Selected brand is fancier and sometimes overlaps with Trader Joes.
I get the impression managers have a lot of discretion in how they enforce things like facial diapers. I have a TJ's near me that doesn't give people a ration of shit about not wearing masks... of course, they don't have to because most people do... but when I go in (only during off-peak hours) they sometimes ask "do you need a mask?" (no) but otherwise leave me alone. Have seen the occasional other free-breather in there numolested, as well.

It's interesting. I'll admit I was nervous about COVID in the beginning and if stores didn't adhere to mask laws I just wouldn't go in. If they are so terrified of COVID leave the store. Why stay in the store and risk your life? Leave and call the authorities. Instead they are shoving, touching, yelling... shows they aren't actually scared of COVID.
My favorite is working in a restaurant and seeing people freak out that people walk through the restaurant without a mask on(especially when most people forget to put it on if they use the restroom while in the middle of eating). Like dude you are going out to eat and the mask comes off and the servers are handling dirty dishes of potential sick customers.

Get my parts, scoot my shit over to register guy Willy and then proceed to enter into a verbal argument, after I ask him if he finds any of this ridiculous. And the thing is, I’ve noticed that it’s not the people at risk who run shrieking at those who don’t mask up.
My wife and I were in Kroger and there was this old lady struggling to find some medical supply because of her vision and height so we helped her out. She was wearing a mask and gloves but my wife and I weren’t. She didn’t mention it, she was just extremely grateful that someone was helping her out and kept saying how wonderful it was that my wife and I were more than happy to take the time out of our day to help her out (especially since at that time the majority of the population was immediately assuming everyone was going to kill them and were treating random individuals like lepers). This was late spring of last year. We’ve seen her in there a few times since and she always says hello.
My coworker was undergoing chemo and during his treatment, he would use one of those delivery services. As he put it, he was the one who was at risk and you wouldn’t expect everyone else to put their lives on hold for him. Same with a guy I know who has HIV due to a tainted blood transfusion decades ago. He has an undetectable viral load nowadays but he took his own precautions during this virus, as opposed to making everyone else accommodate him.

It was also very concerning to watch the manager on film not only stand side by side with said violent employees, but verbally defend them on video. Until the two employees, and manager in question are terminated, my local TJs, and any other ones I come across in my travels will no longer be in my shopping considerations. It's interesting. I'll admit I was nervous about COVID in the beginning and if stores didn't adhere to mask laws I just wouldn't go in. If they are so terrified of COVID leave the store. Why stay in the store and risk your life? Leave and call the authorities. Instead they are shoving, touching, yelling... shows they aren't actually scared of COVID.
My favorite is working in a restaurant and seeing people freak out that people walk through the restaurant without a mask on(especially when most people forget to put it on if they use the restroom while in the middle of eating). Like dude you are going out to eat and the mask comes off and the servers are handling dirty dishes of potential sick customers.
