Here's a fun fact. I got told by my Jewish family members who went to Ivy League schools that I was "literally promoting Nazi science" when I suggested that the science was clear regarding an ethnic component to intelligence. You see, the reason that Jews score high on IQ tests is strictly due to their superior learning environment, according to them. One quarter of all (substantive, as in not Barry) Nobel Prize winners are of Jewish descent; 15 million Jews in the world and they claim 1/4 of all Nobel Prizes.
We are all born completely equal and they just worked harder and had more opportunities than everyone else despite me showing them paper after paper demonstrating how this is not so. Equity propaganda in the social science depts at universities even has the ability to retroactively change biological characteristics, apparently.

Even funnier when you dive into the Jewish iq thing that always gets repeated because there's actually little evidence to support it. The studies that show it as above average are typically very biased (via sampling error or otherwise broken methodology).
They both argue that they have no genetic advantage, while twisting studies to try to prove genetic superiority. All at the same time as they pretend rampant nepotism isn't a factor.
To be fair, I think it’s both. And each reinforces the other. And the down side is that because of the cultural/academic/social divide in America (Charles Murray explained it best, in his book Coming Apart) it means that Jews are also over represented in academia and the media, ie the group of people who hate America. Which is not a good look.

85 IQ is one standard deviation below the average 100 IQ. How many people in America have an IQ of 85 or lower? That would be 16% of the population, which is about 52.8 million people (assuming a population of 330 million).
If you have an IQ of 82 or lower, you cannot be recruited into the military because you are functionally unable to be trained to do anything useful in the military.
Here's why people hate this: you cannot increase your IQ. It's a strong predictor of lifetime earnings and criminality (or lack thereof). But it's unchangeable. And there appears to be largely genetic.
So what does a society do where the bar to compete financially keeps going higher and higher, with a larger and larger group of people who cannot functionally contribute to that society?
True, this needs to be constantly reminded to folks here. Frankly, one cannot have a democratic society with a voting population that doesn’t exclude low-IQ folks. Unfortunately I have encountered also in otherwise very high-IQ people a lot of dissonance and self-delusion that keeps them in the Dem camp. Ignoring the low-IQ population, I suspect that IQ doesn’t correlate strongly with politics.
How to people even do IQ tests?
Often they are just basic problem solving sorts of thing, usually no special knowledge needed.
Are Asians more evolved than white people, then? The gap in average IQ is about the same.
So you only really care about being superior to someone.
