You have water lines in your attic? Is that a southern thing? Folks put their water heaters up there for added efficiency or something?

It seems to be a southern thing. I've never figured out why the water heaters are put up there, though. We bought one house where one of them had rusted out and it leaked through the ceiling. Also, you are charged a lot more for installation if its in the attic vs the garage.
