Yeah you won't get that happening when importing power from other states is impossible on the current interconnects since there's no power on them too, Texas isn't the only state experiencing outages, it's just unique in ERCOT dropping the ball for proper rolling blackouts.

Oh you may be right, but it’s still very little power and really only slight amounts are being imported.

What exactly is the "national" power grid? Each region has its own RTO/ISO that control the area separate from other areas.
