The amount of people going "HURRR it's because MASKS duuuurrrrrrr" is staggering

Unfortunate, but there are plenty of stupid people that believe this. I have relatives that are nurses and they are making double time pay and on weekends triple time. Do you think they want the scandemic to go away? Fuck no, so they also spread the bullshit thick and heavy. And when the fucking garbage is spewing out of the yapper of a "health care professional", it has to be true!

I think it's because they're too stupid to understand that we ask why something happens, we're usually being rhetorical. Idiots can't comprehend intelligence and all that.

It's actually alarming how stupid they think we and lazy most people are.

A coworker started feeling bad last week. She said she was going to the doctor to be tested. She described her symptoms and I said "Hey, if you're not having trouble breathing and you can still smell, it's probably just the flu. Make sure you get a flu test first before you get a covid test so you know which disease to actually treat since if you come up positive for covid they won't even test you for the flu."

She says "Yeah, that's a good point. I'll do that."

Two hours later she calls in and says "I'm positive for covid."

I asked her if she got the flu results first and she said she didn't get tested because she was pretty sure it was covid.

Surprise surprise, she now gets two weeks of paid quarantine leave that doesn't count against her annual sick leave.

Can't imagine why she decided to skip the flu test.

What's alarming to me is how stupid we actually are. Young healthy people lining up for a vaccine to prevent them from getting something they have zero reason to fear.
