This happens every few years. This is nothing new at all. Why are people so retarded, if they just kept regular power plants or even built modern nuclear plants (which Northern and Western Texas are perfect for) they wouldn't be having this issue. So now people are going to die.8

If this happened when Trump was president he would be blamed.

I don't think it's Biden's fault but I certainly think we should blame him. Dude was playing Mario Kart instead of saving Texas? Where the fuck are his priorities

deleteDems 113 points ago +113 / -0

Yes we should blame him. Give him hell like they did to Trump. This is propaganda warfare and all democrats need to be blamed for anything bad that happens.

It’s technically all their fault. They’re all about government regulation and pushing this unnatural “green” energy bullshit subsidizing the natural, reliable energy producers out of business.

18
Donger-Lord2 18 points ago +19 / -1

Not technically, it IS their fault.

Why did Texas switch 17% of their grid to wind?

Unfortunately, people with principles do not control the media – and if they did, the country would have fewer problems.

In any case, the right thing to do is to consistently report fairly.

Shutting down the pipeline means he is to blame for the speculation and shortage of natural gas. So IMO he is partially to blame.

They cut Mexico off too and now they're pissed

I thought you were being hyperbolic... they literally ran a fluff piece of him playing mario kart. Jesus fucking Christ, just nuke us already China.

3
Totally_Not_FBI 3 points ago +3 / -0

China already owns us. They wouldn't nuke their own investments.

2
QLARP 2 points ago +3 / -1

Why does everyone hype China up, they have 800 million in poverty and its 3/4 desert.

QLARP 0 points ago +1 / -1

China isn't strong enough

It’s a double edge sword. Short term, give him issues to “solve”, then get some meme material from his abysmal solution to solve “climate change”. Then he enacts it and we are all fucked. Never let a crisis go to waste

12
RoBatten 12 points ago +12 / -0

Especially a crisis that they manufactured . . .

DARK WINTER...sure we can throw his words back at him

He hasn't even made a statement or gone down to do a visit.

8
u2sarajevo 8 points ago +8 / -0

I don't expect he will. We gave our electoral votes to the actual President.

4
Comntrinchief 4 points ago +4 / -0

He is unwelcome in Texas.

Because modern life in America has 'advanced' to the point you can live your life in complete ignorance of everything around you and still function. People have fogotten what it is like to actually suffer. Hell even our 'poor' live better lives than the well to do in other nations. Can't remember the last time I saw a generational welfare recipient who wasn't well fed with nice clothes and a cellphone and a comfy government supplied apartment unless they were a drug addict or mentally ill and homeless but even then they still get cellphones and welfare if they choose.

What is that old saying? Bad times make strong men who bring good times which makes weak men who bring the bad times. Well we are at the point the weak men are the most populous and you can see the result. So prepare for some real bad times to wake the population back up. Our nation has been at this point before and gotten past it stronger than ever and we will do it yet again.

The most infuriating thing to me is seeing a fat welfare recipient complaining on the news.

stratocaster_patriot 27 points ago +29 / -2

Tired of fat black bitches talking about privilege's and oppression. They tell me they are fat becaue they can't get access to food. Yeah that's why your 400 lbs bitch lol.

randomusers239874 13 points ago +13 / -0

Lol. Remember when Trump wanted to bring back government cheese instead of giving those moochers cash, and they flipped out? Good times lol.

They take the SNAP card at convenience stores for pork rinds and orange soda . . .

They also act like they lived through slavery despite the fact no black person alive has lived though the Civil War era.

I have to say that at my age I remember a time when dogs were dogs. Now they eat better and have cushier lives than a large % of people in this world.

Got any examples of when this cycle occurred within our nations history? Genuinely curious and hungry for delicious whitepills.

12
SquiggyMcPepe 12 points ago +12 / -0

Oh the great depression is one. The 60's and the cold war are another though we didn't go far enough to stamp out the commies and they have come back stronger than ever. The civil war seems to come to mind for some reason or another. Burning of the white house by angry british pissed we got away from them and the choking of our sea trade and prosperity by blockades and conscription of any Americans they caught. There are many other stumbling points but not quite as major but still meaningful.

Read up on how God sent a tornado to DC that stopped the Red Coats from advancing further into DC. Truly a miracle.

9
theblackprince 9 points ago +9 / -0

If you're being honest, this is black pill territory. The instances listed below occurred when people still saw themselves and each other as Americans and were proud of it. Those days are dwindling if not already over. Our tribe is being ripped apart from the inside out.

4
JesusWept 4 points ago +4 / -0

During the civil war the country was literally and politically divided. Both sides considered themselves proud Americans, thought the other side tyrants or traitors. The war itself is what we think of, but this was an awful, ongoing situation for decades before the shooting started.

Interesting to remember that the north and south remained ay great enmity for a hundred years. I well remember as a kid in the early 60s how the southern states voted as a block (the blue dog democrats) and were very hostile to "yankees" passing through. They taught their kids a mythology of honor v tyranny that lasted long after the last vet had died.

Similarly, look into The Fourth Turning theory. Bannon did a documentary on this, Generation Zero....been a while since I watched it, but I don't recall white pills.

1
Ccbzz 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is why they’re supposed to teach history in school

2
SquiggyMcPepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

And why they don't teach it anymore because if the average person had a good grasp of history then the current leadership wouldn't be getting away with what they are doing.

I've been in TX for 6 years and have never had this happen. A 1 hour rolling blackout maybe, but I've been without power for 10 hours now. 20 out of 24 hours of the last two days with no electricity.

Glen Rose, TX does have a nuclear plan, last time I checked, and it's in North Texas
