Fuck that noise. I have a lake property in southern MO near a Nuclear Power Plant. The wildlife there are flurishing. The air is nicer, the water is cleaner. The only down side is we're close enough to hear the hum of the turbines at night. But I live next to an Ameren coal power plant, that's just on the other side of the river here and I can hear the turbines going at night there too. Doesn't bother me a bit. I'm hoping that the plant goes Nuclear soon. I would be fucking thrilled for that.
So, not from Texas, and don't really know the full story here, but why is Texas, of all states, relying on wind turbines and not nuclear power?

Big Oil hates nuclear almost as much as Big Green does. So the foundation was already set when the transplants yelled "nimby! nimby!"
