I lived in Jacksonville Fl . Every house had a fireplace except apartments back then. The worst cold we ever saw was 7 degrees and that was in 1986, and snow in 89. It comes down to not expecting it. Its not a yearly occurrence. It like Miami seeing snow it can happen, but it would be rare
Or a fireplace. We use to have those fake wood stoves in the 80's. Put the wood in and it would heat the whole house.
Everyone can’t have a fireplace, buts it’s nothing to break down old wood furniture and burn it in the garbage can. Turn it into a block party
