The way I see it, the reason the future looks bleak is because people do not, today, understand that the concept of God is essential in establishing human rights. There's no other way that doesn't lead to tyranny. I've been trying to explain to conservative atheists that it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not. It's simply a reference where we can all be on equal-footing. But such is the nature of this world, and it will go in a bad direction because everyone is just too smart now by half. What you think is a corollary notion in "self-evident" is relative to "the greater good." It's losing. Rights must be predicated on God, as a function of the human condition. And I'll leave it at that.
