Don't you just automatically assume Democrats are going to be 100% hypocritical about everything these days?

It makes it a lot easier. No reason to be shocked by leftist hypocrisy anymore.

I think I am more shocked that if he decided he wanted to take the senate spot, he could.
How did such a provision sneak itself into being a legal option for him?
Would that be legal in other states? (I see what I will be investigating later tonight. Oh well, it is a slow TV night....)
