Really promotes the use of electric if it's that difficult.

I can make a windmill from scrap and power my mower. If I can't find the right gas for a gas mower I'm screwed.

Yes,
but now you're dependent on the manuf. of batteries instead of a long established 2 cycle or 4 cycle gasoline technology.

Best thing to do is come up with some kind of cheap selective alcohol adsorbing material to use standard 10% ethanol gasoline.

Any battery powered mower can be connected straight to the grid with the right rectifier, resisters, and capacitors. Can take an old battery and rig it up as an adapter.

So not really reliant on them but it does make things easier ever if more expensive.

Hah or use alcohol engines because humans are experts at making alcohol.
