Parler was in information grab honey pot and in the sense that they wanted to collect a bunch of GOP information and try to convince Trump supporters to abandon Trump and or donate to their causes but it was never done in good faith. I don't believe some of the more outlandish claims such as GPS tracking, but it is clear that parler is a rino hotspot and I am staying away from parler now.
The only reason I'm reluctant to believe your interpretation is Dan Bongino's involvement. Dan has never given me any reason to think he's anything other than a man of integrity.

He disavowed Trump supporters and Babbitt faster than he disavowed Fox News for calling Arizona early. When it comes to Fox New$$$$, "well, it's complicated, there's a lot of good people there, people are talking about this." When it comes to Trump supporters, immediately disavowed.
He's a fake, I quit listening because of that. I knew when I started playing the episode he was gonna cuck out, but still disappointing. Listened for about 2 and a half years.
