Uh huh

Is this God's word?

What does this mean

1 Cor 7:7 I wish that all of you were as I am.

It's a letter from one member of the early Christian church to another.

It's a letter Paul wrote to the church at Corinth which was being torn by division and strife

1 Cor 7:7 I wish that all of you were as I am.

Paul was gay

Oh the irony .... do you know what tl;dr means? Here is a hint - 'too long, didn't read". Which you obviously didn't. Now brush up on your phonics and try again, this time for comprehension.

Why was 1 Cor written?

2
Datamancer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Corinthians was written because the Corinthians decided they knew better than what S. Paul had taught them. Read all of the footnotes in the D-R bible for Corinthians. Then re-read Acts and Romans. God chose Paul to go to speak to the Gentiles; to go to Rome.

Footnotes? I can read

He was writing to a church that was tearing itself apart because they were fighting over who should lead them

1 Cor 1

10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[b]”; still another, “I follow Christ.”

Hilarious, make a stupid statement and claim that is what someone else believes. Okay. Since you seem a little ... slow ... just read the Quran, then you don't have to make things up and tire out your underfunctioning brain.

1 Cor 7:7 I wish that all of you were as I am.

I'm guessing your lack of reading comprehension impacts on all aspects of your life, but not as greatly as your lack of overall understanding of God's Word and plan for your life and this world. You should make an effort to improve both, so you can enjoy the life God wants for you.

i understand the bible better than 90% of xians

That's because I have read it straight through, as it was meant to be

instead of just a paragraph here and a sentence there

what was Jesus' stance on gun control?

2
Finnsforgeotus 2 points ago +2 / -0

so im failing to understand what is wrong with that verse as it is followed by "but every man hath his proper gift of god, one after this manner and another after that", and about gun controll he says Luke 22:36-38 " Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37 For I say to you that this which is written must still be [a]accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For the things concerning Me have an end.”

38 So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.”

And He said to them, “It is enough.” and if you penut brain cant decipher that then i am sorry for you.

you got the gun control thing dead on

he also supported the police and fought the political establishment

Fun fact: There is nothing in the Bible that condemns rape.
