They're trying to say that the reason Texas is freezing right now has NOTHING AT ALL TO DO with the fact 20% of their entire power grid is supplied by WIND TURBINES and SOLAR PANELS. If they still had coal power plants and nuclear plants supplying energy this wouldn't be a problem right now.
People also don't seem to realize that ELECTRICITY IS NECESSARY TO HEAT A LOT OF UTILITY PIPES SO THEY DON'T FREEZE!! Without electricity, you can't PUMP natural gas! You can't heat the tanks storing the natural gas -- which freezes at -30F by the way.
