The point of this whole exercise is that pushing the "Californication" narrative is to sow division in the ranks of non-left, normies, and other non-extremists along with perpetuating this idea that all the progressive garbage originates from Californians, as in, California natives.
This serves a multitude of objectives, mainly it attracts more progressive garbage to California and alienates conservative Californians, and discourages some, maybe many, from moving to other states. I know I felt uneasiness when I first moved to a different state, and that was over a decade ago, so did my wife when I took her on her first extensive trip across the US, so from personal experience, it's a real thing and the blowhards are worse than open extremists like BLM and antifa.
So, unless you have a hidden agenda and truly are a patriot, as you claim, you should adjust your perception and rhetoric to that of "we are in it together, the enemy is not geography or skin color, the enemy is ideology and ideologues pushing it".
