You could be at a softball game with your best friend from high school knocking back a couple of cold ones and he tell a joke that he passes along to his left leaning wife that takes offense. She then puts it up on her local Facebook hate group and then this joke turns you into the local racist. Once these minor incidents are ingrained in our collective consciousness we won't have meaningful conversations about anything for fear of retribution and scorn tomorrow or 10 years from now. We reached a sad state in America where we will live in our own orbits our of fear of being cancelled by the mob. Friend today, foe tomorrow.

My closest work friend is a black woman. The only conversation I’ve ever had with her about race is how stupid the idea of racism and race wars even is. She agreed and told me how people within the black community are racist to each other and some guys have rejected her for not being a “lighter-skinned” black girl. Other than that, it never comes up. Because it’s not relevant, no matter how much liberals want to make it an issue (apparently they love segregation.)

I agree. I work with black youth and they just joke about all the woke stuff and "BLM" issues and they always tell it to me straight which gives me hope. We get bombarded with this media bs and it is all politics and they aren't speaking for the vast majority of black people.

You are getting played, they may " joke" about it but make no mistake its a weapon they will liberally and without regard to reason or consequence use for their benefit. Disregard it at your own risk, but trust me not a week goes by in my neighborhood that someone isn't accused, threatened or erased because someone got mad and whipped out the race card. The accusations are often laughable, but the consequences aren't as people are hurt to settle personal scores.

About two years ago I knew a great lady that worked with women trying to reenter the work force after being in prison. She worked tirelessly, for short money , on their behalf. Everyone seemed happy until some sjw decided they needed someone who could " better relate to their issues". They demanded a new counselor. When it fell flat they colluded to accuse her of " racism ". It worked , she was replaced , and left heartbroken and disillusioned. Good news, the program crashed and went down in flames not long after. Seems people that can " relate to their issues" weren't great at convincing employers to hire people with records. Its like they are two totally different things .....duh!
