I encourage all Patriots to get solar panels. They've gotten a bad rap here but I'm living off grid right now and have five 100 watt solar panels. Living in Ohio right now, northwest corner. We just got a pretty bad blizzard. I just walk out and brush the snow off every once in awhile. In my opinion solar panels are better than a generator. If the s*** hits the fan and our power grid is shut down, I don't think gas stations will be pumping gasoline. Solar panels last 35 years before they start being a little less efficient. I have a little 800 what generator as well just in case I need a little extra electricity but I rarely have to use it. Last time I used it was a couple of months ago.
Like I said, I live in northwest Ohio, and my battery banks are filled by noon and we haven't been getting sun either. You don't necessarily need to have a sunny day to get a charge

We have zero sun! I have some, not one is working.

Mine aren’t working.
Do you know why? From what I understand they last quite a while.
