Canadian here... my house has an oil furnace, a wood stove and a propane stove. Gas generator for backup if the powers out for an extended period of time. Thats just for TV and stuff if its been awhile.

Cottage has woodstove and pellet stove. Multiple camp stoves for cookin and a gas generator to run the pelletstove and TV. Sometimes trees go down in a storm and you can get stuck there overnight.

Best to be prepared folks.

Hello neighbor, I’m happy you have all those things. I’m sure your region requires that. This is quite unusual weather for here. Where I agree to be prepared, I have food and water, ammo, land, animals and energy. This is like telling a southern Californian to prepare for snow. It doesn’t happen here and the government isn’t prepared and refuse to be because it only happens every 30 years.

Agreed. We had an old one that wasn’t working and gave to someone they thought they could fix, it was small, but I miss it now. I want a big one!
