I want to make one thing clear. I think wind mills aren’t the solution to energy. However our nation’s farmers depend on these to subsidize their income and I’m perfectly fine with them doing so. What I do have issues with is idiots who point fingers and talk out of their ass blaming everyone and everything. What Texas has is a capacity issue. Even if Texas or these other states were 100% fossil fuel, this still would have happened. Demand overran the supply pure and simple and states got caught with their pants down. The windmills freezing was just a compounding problem and not the root of the issue. If anything, we need more of every energy source or this will be a repeating problem. Additionally grids not being connected throughout the US is another issue. There is no reason why power interconnects shouldn’t be a thing during an emergency. I understand the security risks but that can be mitigated.
