Someone made a post asking why do a lot of women vote left, and while there are many reasons, I really do think that abortion laws are the biggest reason for this. I love babies and hate pedos and I hate the idea of babies being killed but I tried to put myself in other women's shoes and thought of it in the same way I think about gun laws.

I want to run far away from any state that infringes on gun rights even a little bit, because I'm afraid of that slippery slope once those start getting put into place. I know that places exist where it's hard to get an abortion even if you were raped, and I can see the bitterness and unfairness of that situation and, from an average woman's point of view, I can understand them wanting to run far away from any state with even slight anti-abortion laws, in fear of a slippery slope.

I actually know a few girls who vote purely on abortion laws. It's all they care about and when I think of it like this, I can honestly understand the fear of a slippery slope (maybe they're actually convinced that 'evil' christians are gonna take over, who knows what they're thinking, clearly they don't like our ideas though). And at the same time it makes me so incredibly angry when I see a woman being careless about sex life and accidental pregnancies because babies lives are not something to be taken lightly. And I also know that if a child is born out of rape, or born without a father for any reason (doesn't matter why), that unfortunately tends to make that child more likely to grow up to be a criminal which is still just shitty and costly for a society TBH.

I just wanted to start a discussion about this, I honestly wish we could find some middle ground where women can be 100% sure that if they're raped it won't completely uproot their life and that part of the law would never change, but at the same time I absolutely LOATHE that it's so common to be careless and have that as a fallback. There needs to be a cultural change, how the hell do we get people to stop wanting to sleep around before marriage, because I still haven't been able to wrap my head around a solution to this problem. I don't want babies growing up in a shitty environment and I also don't want girls lives to be completely ruined when they're raped, and I also don't want ANY babies to have to be killed. To truly solve this, men and women would need to WANT to wait until marriage, so how do we go back to that? We had that once. Is our culture too far gone now and we can never go back to this?

Guaranteed some of my friends wouldn't vote left if they weren't so concerned about abortion laws. I want to do something about this and don't know what. How to convince people? Thanks for reading my wall of text, I couldn't sleep

I understand what you are saying. The problem of making it legal to violently kill the most innocent people is an issue that we have because of the hearts of people. We can't have an honest discussion unless we call it for what it is. It is the violent killing of an innocent and helpless person. If we start an honest discussion then we can see that there is no middle ground of we want to live in a civil society. Civil societies don't legalize the violent killing of innocent life. As for how do we remedy the problem.... Let me go back in history. After Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was out of the Gulags he had many interviews. When asked "What went wrong? What led to people being put into gulags?" He answered, "We forgot God." That is the answer for evil then, and for evil now. We sleep around because we are selfish and forget God. We create our own problems and 'solve'them with violent murder because we forget God. How bad is this tendency to'forget God'? It's so bad that after hundreds of interviews, and after finally speaking the words in one of the interviews, 'We forgot God.", Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was never asked for another interview. Mankind does not want to alter their evil behavior and does not want to be accountable to God. Until we individually and collectivity admit this, and agree with God that sleeping around and violently killing babies is wrong... Until we REPENT and give our lives to Christ, until we agree with Him that we sin and that we are WRONG and REPENT , then proud humanity will never fix the problem. We will never agree and even if we did agree, God will not let a nation that violently kills the unborn go unjudged.

This reminded me of something I read in Revelations, "let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy." I'm thinking this really will never be fixed as a society, only an individual can make that choice... I wish so much that we caught it or realized it early, that something came into this country and steered our culture away from God a long time ago, because it used to be that more people were on the right path, considering this problem

America started as a Christian nation but at some point schools stopped teaching that.
