I realize this is an Economist poll, but wtf?! Why do people still view obama favorably?? Literally the worst president ever. And pence should not be viewed favorably, he should be around the same as McConnell.
Obama was effectively the opposite of Trump; while Trump was a go getter with horrific PR skills, Obama was a lame duck with PR skills out of this world. He is so good in PR he convinced his own electorate he pulled healthcare even as it remains one of their primary agenda priorities. Its honestly impressive.
I really can't believe how stupid liberal voters are. Remember when obamacare was criticized as being romneycare, and the liberals were against it, until the party told them not to be? Regardless of your stance on the healthcare issue, you'd think that both liberals and conservatives would agree that the law that was passed was complete shit, and didn't do anything either party wanted; it only made insurance companies profit. But no, you can't get rid of "healthcare", hundreds of billions of people will die, REEEEEE!
Yep. Obama was obsessed with getting his legacy due to him being the schoolbook example of the "charming narcissist", so he said "I want to get my name on it, and my successor will fix it for me while the history books will forever credit me". So he passed the abomination that essentially did nothing except turning healthcare insurance into a government enforced racket
