I live in Canada, spent a long, long time working on drilling rigs in Northern Alberta and BC, Zama City, Chinchaga, High Level, places like that. Gas will freeze because it has moisture in it and the water will freeze, creating an ice lock. It is very common in moist environments, which Texas qualifies as. Anyway, this post is still sus as hell, but I have experienced it plenty myself. Usually needs a big diesel heater and a couple hours to thaw out the fuel lines. That is on equipment and above ground bowsers, or storage tanks for fuel. If the tanks are below ground and you treat the fuel, either diesel or gas, with a good quality fuel anti-freeze, you should be fine. I am assuming you will not find that anti-freeze in Texas though, just a hunch.

I know NG can freeze off of the well as you described. Never heard of gasoline freezing at the pump.
