Diesel freezes. Different mixtures for different parts of the country and time of year. That’s why folks that live in cold climates have heating units they plug in on their trucks at night if their is unexpected cold. Once it gels you are basically f’d until it is thawed. As far as I know, the same is not true unleaded, but no diesel, no delivery.

You fill a new fuel filter with diesel 911 and then overtreat whatever is in the tank with 911. Ether it and it will go again. I've worked at a service garage for twenty years in Wisconsin and that works nearly every time.

Not true. Mine gelled the other day, and I put 911 in it, warmed the fuel filter and tank with a heater and it runs fine. No need to replace all that stuff. The northern half of the nation runs diesels year round. They add anti gelling Chems to the fuel.
