I mean, I for one need more proof that the windmills are 100% of the problem. I live in Colorado and our largest electrical grid has a higher percent of wind power than Texas. We’re no stranger to sub-zero temps. Either windmills only freeze in Texas or there was some other serious breakdowns in planning that caused the current situation.
I know the hive mind will downvote this but we are supposed to be the side that uses objective reasoning and the stuff I’m seeing pushed as fact isn’t adding up.
The counter to this is that the turbines in Colorado etc are specifically designed to continue operating in subzero temperatures. Those modifications cost money and there’s not really a need to get them if you’re worrying about it being 100F with a million percent humidity instead
I agree that’s only part of the issue though, the bigger problem is that this happened a week after Chairman Biden lifted the ban on foreign involvement in our grid
You should go on there and tweet her pictures of the frozen windmills and say like this green new deal.
People are responding with pictures of windmills in winter climates that aren't frozen. There is no getting to these people. They are lost.
