I had family ranting about that guy. He was the mayor of 4,000 people. Dems are going to use this natural disaster to try and take over Texas. BeTo is already going on TV.
Texas needs a winter weather alternative to the bird killers in the western part of the state. I dunno, how about more nuclear power or a few more plants powered by natural gas? The grid was built for warm weather, they have been reminded them forgot a season, winter. Either find ways to buy power or add more plants. The bird killers will not get it done. When are those turbines going to thaw? Texans are smart, they will get this solved.
I mean....he isn't wrong though. Lol. If my family were freezing I would get the fuck out of there. Never expect the government to help, especially under a Biden occupation
I think he was taking very out of context and to be honest he wasn't very clear.
But I understand what he was going after.
He was trying to tell the able to get up and do something, I'm sure he was overwhelmed with a bunch of whiny, whining and crying people who wouldn't help themselves.
I can agree with that, but how about offering some suggestions for his people? I would certainly get off my ass as a mother of 3 young babies, but where? I don't think they were expecting this long of an issue. I'm sure tempers are flaring at this point including his, but his wording was off. Calling me lazy is probably the most infuriating word for some reason. I'm not there to help, but during hurricanes we all come together to make sure our neighbors are taken care of.
I think we heard more of his anger and frustration. he could have worded it a lot better but who knows when the last time he dealt with somebody reasonable and got some decent sleep.
The wording is unfortunate, and he should have made it clear that he was referring specifically and ONLY to those who routinely expect handouts and coddling, but he's right. Texans are supposed to be independent and to help one another out (especially elderly, children, and disabled), not expect the "governement" to take care of them. BE PREPARED, people!!
I disagree that he is right. In Louisiana we know how to prepare for hurricanes due to trial and error of dealing with them often. The state should have been more prepared to take action when things went south. Not saying everyone should expect handouts, but to project their mishandling on the families is not exactly accurate. And his wording of it all was the worst part. Louisiana steps up and opens centers for families and whatnot. Texas just didn't prepare for this.
Honestly, if you read what he said, I would say the majority of us believe exactly the same.

That's cold
Wouldn't offering warming centers in an emergency be of more use than a cold statement?

The Chinese are doing this.
If there is any state the CCP would like to neutralize it has to be TX, filled with smart, loyal patriots and TONS of energy know-how.

His frustration and anger is apparent.
I think you should run again at the state level.

Let me guess, Austin or Houston?
