it's forced into the commercials to make the situations they're depicting "normal" and part of real life. Just like how all these places that have physical locations from CVS to Walgreens to AT&T and so on now depict people wearing masks in their commercials or have some idiotic "disclaimer" at the bottom of the screen that "this commercial was filmed safely, please wear a mask in our stores"...We don't need the disclaimer and people wearing masks in everyday life like it's nothing IS NOT REALISTIC. We NEED stigma around masks. Even if you're "forced to" where you work, it should sicken you to put one on. It should feel bad. You should feel bad having one on, not gleefully putting one on because you think it's a fashion accessory, or because your team's or company's logo is on it.
But back to the couples depicted in commercials...yes it's always a gay couple especially if it has to do with a "family" setting - "the gay brother bringing his new boyfriend to his parents house for Christmas all nervous if he/they will be accepted", the gay couple that just adopted a kid (or if they're female the 'woman' had one), the family that has one white parent and one black and mixed-race kids...I'm sure that happens, but it's FAR from the norm and doesn't need to be intentionally depicted in commercials.
Then they are constantly trying to force it into TV shows - the gay member of the family, the black friend of a family member that basically becomes "part of the family". The one family member with a black boyfriend or girlfriend and they at first depict the parents as "racist" but then they "come around and accept it". and of course all the "Love is Love" bullshit.
It's like do what you want to do, but stop forcing everyone to accept it as normal and common. It isn't.
Not cause it accurately represents percentages. I’m a white guy with a brown son so certainly not against us all mixing but am tired of all media drastically overepresenting this stuff.
Biracial, queer of some kind, all-non-white....

Hell yeah. It's expected coming out of the liberal bubble world propaganda machine.
That said, lots of times Mutts are better than Pure breeds.
Still, skin color is like hair color, go for what you are attracted to and have no shame.
