My daughter asked me to stop sending her proof that the coof is fake news. I said ok because I love her and now feel like I've been contributing to her stress levels.

If I was a smidge more callous I would have sent her this...

"No. You're in your mid twenties and have judged me by your ignorance.

Nothing I've shown you was a lie. Nothing.

Yet you choose self imposed ignorance, comfort, over reality.

This country is at war. You are living in a failing society that is being controlled through media, education and chemical manipulation. "

I wish I could send her this but I now know she would just check out mentally in the first few sentences.

I miss you, kiddo.

My heart breaks for you. I "lost" my mom to fake news as well. She won't even question wearing a mask, we were just discussing the other day. She says "It's no big deal, I don't think about it, I don't question it, I just wear it when I have to!" like she's real smart or something.

I am blessed that my zoomer son is based AF. I use his computer to WFH and just saw an image he saved to his desktop of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (author of The Gulag Archipeligo).
