Exactly. Never though I'd have an emotional attachment to a radio host. But I really must thank him for beginning my political education.

And then continuing it over the years.

Man was so much more than merely a radio host. He was one of the greatest Americans of our time, one of the brightest minds of our time.

Dare I say it, I think he was the greatest philosopher of our age. He just happened to have a radio to help him get his philosophic wisdom to the masses.

Maybe it's the emotions getting to me, but I think there's a case to be made that Rush is to 20th and 21st Century America what the likes of Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates were to ancient Greece.

Thats partly why this hits so hard. Not only was he a great man and wonderful to listen to, I feel like a little piece of American freedom has died.We need all the Patriots we can get.
