WRITE YOUR REPS, MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND

Honorable Representative Democrat Shitstain,

I am writing you about bill HR127 to ask that you actively oppose this bill and all of its provisions. This bill embodies a glaring overreach of federal power and violates the rights of the American People. The obvious violation of the 2nd amendment is only partly the concern. The fact that this bill will make the number, type, and storage location of all firearms a matter of public record poses a serious risk of increased crime. I do not want those who cannot legally have a gun, knowing what's out there to steal and where to get it. It is truly shortsighted.

In terms of its violation of the 2nd Amendment, I would like to offer a unique observation. For the same reason that a poll tax is illegal and violation of the right to vote, HR127 is a violation of the 2nd amendment. Placing a financial requirement of any kind upon the ability of a citizen to exercise a right is illegal.

I am a Democrat. I am a hunter. I like to skeet shoot. But after the harrowing and nerve racking violence this summer and in January, I have come to truly understand the value of the 2nd amendment. Knowing that I would not have to be a helpless victim forced to succumb tot he whims of a violent mob or wait helplessly for the police while angry men bust down my door helped me sleep at night. It still does. After a year like 2020, imposing financial barriers to this security, while also advertising to criminals that I have what they want is just unconscionable

Please consider what I have said and oppose HR127. I am not willing to trade one orange dictator for a dictator by committee. This issue will affect how I vote in the future. This past year has made me more of a 1 issue voter than I could have imagined.
