For me it’s like losing a family member. My dad passed a few years ago and he listened almost daily. I first heard rush in my dad’s truck in the late 80’s and Rush validated the things my dad was trying to teach me. With humor and style. His presence on the radio every day was like a living connection to my dad and his wisdom. This one’s gonna be hard on me...
Same here, every word of it. Rush spoke the truth and walked the walk.
He never told people what to think, he merely spoke on behalf of millions who shared his views but didn't have the proper means to express them.
I listened to him since his Sacramento days. I remember thinking "you can't say that on the radio... they'll crucify him" and of course "he is saying exactly what I've been saying"
I was listening when the 1st "ditto" was uttered. I was listening when Dan's Bakesale exploded. I've read all his books. I've listened to him every day possible since the beginning. Etc. Etc.
It is a gut-punch knowing he is not going to be on air. Yet, he will always be with us.
He was on loan to us.

Certainly is, Hang in there friends, until we met, Rush Limbaugh’s legacy will live on forever. I guess for me I’m listening to My City Was Gone by The Pretenders and then finding a way to start somewhere circa 1984 and go from there, that should get me by for a few decades.
