I'm just gonna pour my heart out in grief here, in case some Frens read it. The thread title is the most appropriate I've encountered. Its almost 8 PM local time, and I'm just learning of Rush's passing, which may be God's Mercy. Cancer is cruel.
In addition to every other tribute to his legacy, I was first politically awakened by him. Certainly not before 1991. I discovered the source of the DS in 1990, and hadn't yet connected the dots to current politics. I don't recall Rush going that deep immediately, but he never shied away from the stark truth either.
Last year was one dagger to the heart after another. I've been killdozer furious for over a year now, but haven't lost my cool at anybody. 911 was a deliberate dagger to the heart of our Nation, even without the DS betrayal.
Rush's passing hits me like another dagger to the heart. I am in fact immortal, risen with Christ. Whom shall I fear? Surely not man!
We have western civilization to preserve, a Nation to save, a Constitution to defend ...
and a conquering Saviour to lead us; DJT is a creature, not the Creator. Our Creator, Blessed forever, has a great deal to say about the importance of Frens ... may Rush be ushered into His Glorious Presence without delay
Excellent expression of the thoughts and feelings I share with you. I thank God he gave me Rush for the last 32 years, to help me learn, help me to laugh, remind me to reason. My heart is sore, but I am happy for him...all of a life is really only a few short minutes - we are literally like the grass that grows and withers in a day. Its not long til we pass through to experience the great joy the Lord has for us, if we trust in him. Rush often acknowledged the Lord, so we have good hope that we will meet him as our brother in the place of true liberty.
