Yup, 100% this. If us Texans don't put a stop to this then we're going to be even in deeper shit. Imagine if Texas went full bore on building out wind turbines and closing fossil fuel power plants? Imagine if 50%+ or 75%+ of the grid was powered by wind turbines?
And that's what these fuckers do. They encourage power producers to build wind turbines and then they protest and demand fossil fuel plants be closed at the same time....undermining our grid reliability non-stop. Then when the shit gets fucked up, they say we need more government.
Then they demand us to share our prepper supplies to "help a brother out". No, fuck that.

I was reading there as well and see all the time where people go there and say it is "greedy" to keep supplies while others are hurting. Total commie BS. It is funny though because the people posting those comments are probably sitting in a freezing house in the bitter cold.
I do see the scant few "don't tell anyone about your preps" comments, and as harsh as reality is it should be followed.

I think they're mostly just sheltered young adults that don't know any better. Coddled by their parents, living in their parents house etc. Then they go to school and are brainwashed by commie BS. That's why you see so many people blaming the grid failures due to capitalism, deregulation and other shit like that. Meanwhile zero focus on personal responsibility to be prepared for a natural disaster.
The modern government run school system has created individuals that are weak mentality and lack the grit required to really be successful.
I'm convinced that the actual smart liberals simply use the democratic party for political favors and to get beneficial regulations for their industry to snuff out competition. That's why big tech, big media and so on are so heavily slanted towards democrats.

it's funny how all the prepper stuff that isn't massively censored is so naturally anti-leftist... almost like everyone with any survival skills knows that the government will not save you, you will be stuck fending for yourself and your family and community, and that in absence of government, the only thing that matters is natural law... aka violence and possession.
also, prepper content tends to go 2 directions. the general rule is basically that short of being a genuine spec ops badass, you're not surviving shit going lone wolf into the woods. you will need to sleep eventually, and someone will kill you and take your shit when you inevitably do. none of those people who can pull that off are leftists. not a single damn one. for the most part, the people who will do the best are the ones who hunker down with their community, immediately establish order, protect their resources with active guards and lookouts, immediately get to work on resource accumulation, particularly food/water, and work out plumbing/garbage in a manner that's not going to attract attention from armed groups that are actively seeking to take resources. all these leftists fancy themselves as some desk jockey in the ministry of truth or ministry of culture... no fucking way they'd survive even an hour if someone told them to dig a latrine.

For a lot of folks power has been out for days. Then water. I expect Austin pussies to be unprepared but I'm a bit shocked by Houston people. I prepped like a hurricane was coming but even I didn't expect this to last so long. I ran out of booze.
I have a good friend who is in AA. He told me I should take an honest inventory of my life. I did just that. I have 15 years worth of ammo and 20 years worth of whiskey. Apparently, that's not what he meant.
