I'm not sure that Texans, of all people, should preach to anyone about preparedness and self-reliance. They have been by far the worst prepared state for this winter storm and weren't even CLOSE to being the hardest hit by the storm itself. I used to consider Texas to be the conservative crown jewel of the US but no more
