A very sad day. Rush has been an influence on my views and politics for 30 years. I still miss his TV show.
I was a junior in High School in 1997. During down time in english class, I'd pull out my copy of "The Way Things Ought to Be.". Read it front to back.
My English teacher gave me a hard time for reading it. Never anything punitive like you'd see today. But she would tease me, and said she didn't understand why conservatives worship (in own words) Rush.
I explained the massive bias in the news media, and how Rush was the only truly conservative voice in media. Its not worship, it was just the only voice at the time. He just happened to be the BEST voice we could have.
Its sad how things have only gotten worse. But Rush was a shining light of wisdom in a sea of falsehoods and propaganda.
