DeSantis struggled to win the charisma battle against now-disgraced Andrew Gillum, but fortunately Dems don't show up as much in non-presidential years. I think Gaetz is more likely to run for Rubio's seat if Rubio retires like he planned to last time, or Gaetz may run in 2026 to replace DeSantis as gov.
