Technically none of us did... They borrowed against the citizenry and gave us only a portion of what was borrowed. The rest went to special intrest groups and friends.

I was actually thinking of using mine to buy that little rowboat for fishing and hunting I've had my eye on. I've heard that there is the occasional capsizing risk and that some folk have lost all their gear - but its a risk I'm happy to take. ;)

Tie buoy floats to your gear and use short bits of paracord or mason line to attach it so it wont separate from the boat too far in the event of a capsize. A friend of mine used to do that when I was a kid and he finally got sick of me asking why so he tied a rope and fed it under the boat, kicked it into a pond and flipped the boat over. All his shit was easily retreived. However it won't keep stuff from falling out of open containers.
