I’m sure Rush would take it as one.

Provocateur just means you provoke a reaction, and he was pretty famous for doing that. Honestly this isn’t a bad headline for WaPo. It could have been a lot darker, this is as about close as they could come to a eulogy.

I mean if they can call the terrorist a scholar they can do better for Rush. There’s a clear negative connotation here. I agree with OP. It’s not terrible but it’s there. The comparison is striking.
