It’s not always to spite their parents, though it often is .

For many who grow up in the suburbs, Middle class or upper middle class, life is comfy but super fuckin boring.

School, sports, parties at houses. Same shit. Easy life. Parents think this is good, and to a point, it is.

Young adults or teenagers want...they need...more. They’re curious about the world outside of school, sexuality, they want more stimulation than they get from the comforts of modernity. People are wired to challenge themselves and modern life often undermines or impedes that.

So kids look for it wherever they find it. They are young and naive, and here you go.
