That was no small part of why BLM took off. Those people where first convinced that they had nothing to lose for taking to the streets. They had nothing to lose whatsoever, even if they ended up arrested. "So what? I ain't gonna be the first n*gga to go to jail" is what I heard from so many black youths.
White folks have their mortgages, their investment portfolios, their fully restored '69 Mustang and classic Harleys. "The things you own, end up owning you." Patriots are just too comfortable and secretly hoping things get better soon because "God is watching over us."
Not sure if you're being serious or not, but this notion that "God will get 'em" and "They'll get theirs" is just a lullaby to pacify the masses from taking justice for themselves.
