Don't lose hope. Keep watch for yourselves and your neighbors. I survived the '98 Ice Storm on the Canadian East Coast, we went 14-16 days in my area without power. We got through it by knocking on our neighbors doors and seeing how everyone was doing. Please stay safe on the roads, and watch out for weighted tree branches and ice on paths. I know someone who was hospitalized by a tree limb, and someone else who skidded down their front step. The little things take us by surprise sometimes. Real patriotic Canadians have your back.

You came out of that ice storm a stronger person and this is evident in your comforting words of encouragement and helpful advice.
