I have no idea why they are resistant to a grassroots when I look at all the .win communities that do exist? We don't need to strategize out loud there, just give us a place to organize locally.
I think the way it works right now is someone needs to pay for a .win domain. Once you have members, and the community is moderated well enough you can request to be included as one of these communities. I totally agree with you, but I think the mod's issue is money, and the means to acquire it without asking us to donate.
