I think this a great idea, but I was sort of thinking something like action.win might be the ticket.

You could go there and see if there was immediate action that could be taken on the Maricopa situation that day.

There could be two pinned threads there just as you say, Boycott and Buycott, that are kept up to date by someone.

Other action vectors like this one could be possibly pinned: https://patriots.win/p/11SK2exHEX/-happening--end-your-big-tech-ad/ (well, crap. That was a great and lengthy post about ditching big tech ... deleted by author I guess.)

Things like the Bank of America snitch job could be highlighted there, then added to the Boycott list later.

Basically a place to go for someone with 20-30 minutes who wants to make some kind of change.

I love the emphasis on quick timely action. actionactionaction.win :P

'Brigading' and 'flash 'mob'' are too derogatory.

For the boycotting idea, I've been thinking it may really need to be a marketplace. Think eBay but with additional political/ social filters. They're making it acceptable to be racist and search for black-centric businesses, not that they have any problem being hypocrites, but who's to say putting "non-Marxists" as a filter is objectionable?

I do think boycotting is the other side of the 'cancel culture' coin, though companies that are misbehaving should be known for doing it, not simply filtered out of existence. They're too dangerous to be ignored.

Bringing to light businesses we do want to support is essential, but at the end of the day people are looking for products, not companies, it would take forever to find what you're looking for by starting with a good company, seeing what they've got, finding out they don't have what you're looking for, find another company, etc. etc.

A marketplace that puts more emphasis on the company profiles than some of the other marketplaces, perhaps. Still a product-driven search, but you can gut check the product origin before you buy (or filter for it in your search criteria).

Or dump the marketplace piece and do a business directory with similar filters, the curated business profiles could include "Alternatives to" in their profile. Doi, maybe make it like https://alternativeto.net/

Need to think about monetization, driving traffic, adding value to the good businesses, so they do their own data entry. If it's a marketplace with products. Too heavy a lift to curate it volunteering. An 'alternative to' site could be crowdsourced.

Could be a blog like wirecutter.com, adding a layer to the analysis (this is the best widget to get, not just because of how it performs against other widgets in its category but because of who makes it, or who the other ones are made by).

I emailed Peter Navarro about this last night and told him we need help determining which industries are the most critical ones to 'fortify' for nat'l security and also to stick to the the Chicoms. It would be sweet if he did a report on it. "5 Key Industry Segments American Small Business Entrepreneurs and Grassroots Investors Can Take Back From China By 2022".

I hope we can continue to refine this 'voting with our wallet' idea. The only gap between substantial power and where we are now is organizing the information. And this 'action' idea should not fall by the wayside either.

Interesting idea, but I fear "Action" wouldn't communicate the purpose of the community that well.
